Product Overview

The IEC60092 standard offshore and marine armoured medium voltage (MV) cables are used on board ships in all locations for fixed installations complying with IEC standard 60092-352. These cables are flame retardant, low smoke, and halogen free, making them suitable for demanding marine environments including passenger ships and other commercial vessels.

Construction

  1. Conductor: Class 2 stranded copper conductor

  2. Conductor Screen: Semi-conducting layer (tape/compound)

  3. Insulation: XLPE

  4. Insulation Screen: Semi-conducting layer (tape/compound)

  5. Metallic Screen: Copper tape

  6. Inner Sheath: LSOH (SHF1). Halogen free inner covering available as option.

  7. Armour: Copper wire braid or galvanized steel wire braid

Core identification: Coloured tape inserted under metallic screen. 3-core: Red, Yellow, Blue.
