Key Performance Characteristics

  • Superior EPR Insulation: Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) offers outstanding dielectric strength, high flexibility over a wide temperature range, and excellent resistance to heat, moisture, and electrical stress.

  • Halogen-Free & Enhanced Safety: The construction materials are halogen-free (IEC 60754) and generate low smoke density (IEC 61034), minimizing corrosive gas emission and improving visibility in case of fire. It is also flame retardant (IEC 60332).

  • High Flexibility & EMI Shielding: Utilizes flexible Class 5/6 conductors for easy installation in tight spaces. The tinned copper wire braid armor provides effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding for sensitive control circuits.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Armor: Tinned copper braid offers good resistance to corrosion in humid marine atmospheres.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and manufactured in accordance with key international marine and safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and tests)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy tests)

Typical Applications

This flexible and shielded cable is suitable for installations requiring safety, flexibility, and EMI protection:

  • Marine & Offshore: Power, lighting, and control system wiring within control panels, switchboards, and for instrumentation on ships and offshore platforms, especially in areas where halogen-free materials are specified.

  • Industrial: Flexible connections in control cabinets and industrial machinery where EMI shielding, flexibility, and enhanced fire safety (low smoke, zero halogen) are important.
