Product Overview
The CKEVP/NA is a specialized Fire Resistant and Screened marine control cable designed for critical power, lighting, and control systems where circuit integrity during a fire and protection against electromagnetic interference are both essential. It features a core construction of EPR insulation over a mica glass tape layer for fire resistance, combined with an integrated electrical screen and a standard PVC outer sheath. This cable is engineered to maintain operation in emergency conditions while ensuring signal clarity, making it suitable for vital systems on marine vessels, offshore platforms, and in safety-critical industrial plants. It complies with IEC 60092 and the key fire resistance standard IEC 60331.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Certified Fire Resistance: Constructed with a mica glass tape barrier beneath EPR insulation, the cable is designed to maintain circuit integrity and continue functioning for a specified period under direct flame, meeting the stringent IEC 60331 standard.
-
EMI/RFI Shielding for Signal Integrity: The integrated screening layer (tinned copper braid or Alu/Polyester tape) provides effective protection against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI), crucial for the reliable operation of sensitive control and instrumentation circuits.
-
Durable & Flexible Insulation: EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) insulation offers excellent thermal stability (rated for 90°C), flexibility, and long-term aging performance, complementing the fire-resistant design.
