Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): The cable is designed to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating for a specified period under direct flame, which is critical for emergency lighting, alarms, and fire pump control circuits.

  • Superior EPR Insulation: Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) provides excellent dielectric properties, thermal stability, and long-term resistance to heat and moisture.

  • Effective EMI Shielding: The tinned copper wire braid armor offers reliable protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) for sensitive control and instrumentation circuits.

  • High Flexibility: Utilizes flexible Class 5/6 conductors, ensuring ease of installation in complex cable trays and control panels.

  • Flame Retardant: Complies with IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60332-3-22, helping to inhibit the spread of flame along the cable run.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and tested in accordance with key international marine and fire safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and tests)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy tests)

Typical Applications

This cable is specified for critical safety circuits where fire resistance and EMI shielding are required:

  • Marine & Offshore: Emergency power, lighting, and control circuits for alarm systems, fire pumps, and essential equipment on ships and offshore platforms.

  • Industrial: Safety-critical power and control wiring in industrial plants and facilities where fire-resistant cabling with EMI protection is mandated.
