Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): The cable is designed to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating for a specified period under direct flame, critical for life-safety systems such as emergency lighting, alarms, and fire pump controls.

  • Halogen-Free & Low Smoke Safety: Complies with IEC 60754 (halogen-free) and IEC 61034 (low smoke density), minimizing corrosive gas emission and smoke obscuration during a fire to enhance personnel safety and visibility.

  • Effective EMI Shielding: The tinned copper wire braid armor provides reliable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, protecting sensitive control and instrumentation circuits from external noise.

  • High Flexibility: Utilizes flexible Class 5/6 conductors, ensuring ease of installation in complex cable trays, control panels, and confined spaces.

  • Flame Retardant: Meets IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60332-3-22 standards, inhibiting the spread of flame along the cable run.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and tested in accordance with the highest international marine safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and tests)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy)

  • IEC 60754 (Halogen-free)

  • IEC 61034 (Low smoke density)

Typical Applications

This cable is specified for critical safety circuits where fire survival, enhanced safety from fumes, and EMI protection are essential:

  • Marine & Offshore: Emergency generator feeds, fire pump controls, alarm and detection systems, and emergency lighting on passenger ships, offshore platforms, and naval vessels.

  • Critical Infrastructure: Safety-critical power and control wiring in public buildings, tunnels, power plants, and industrial complexes where the highest fire safety standards are mandated.
