Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): The cable is engineered to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating for a specified duration under direct flame, which is essential for life-saving emergency power, alarm, and control circuits.

  • Complete Fire Safety Package: Integrates fire resistance (IEC 60331) with halogen-free, low-smoke properties (IEC 60754 & IEC 61034) and flame retardancy (IEC 60332). This comprehensive safety suite minimizes flame spread, toxic fumes, and smoke obscuration.

  • Full Sheath Protection & EMI Shielding: The dual-layer SHF1 sheath provides excellent mechanical and environmental protection. The tinned copper wire braid armor offers effective electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding for sensitive circuits.

  • High Flexibility: Designed with flexible Class 5/6 conductors, the cable remains easy to install in complex routing paths despite its full-protection design.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Armor: The tinned copper braid provides good resistance to corrosion in marine atmospheres.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and tested in accordance with the highest international marine and fire safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and tests)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy)

  • IEC 60754 (Halogen-free)

  • IEC 61034 (Low smoke density)

Typical Applications

This cable is specified for critical safety circuits where fire survival must be combined with enhanced safety from fumes, EMI protection, and full mechanical durability:

  • Marine & Offshore: Essential power feeds to emergency generators, fire pump controls, critical alarm systems, and emergency lighting on passenger ships, offshore platforms, and naval vessels, especially in confined spaces.

  • Critical Infrastructure: Safety-critical wiring in power plants, public transport tunnels, data centers, and high-rise buildings where the highest standards of fire safety, low smoke emission, and circuit integrity are required.
