CEPJR80/SC Marine Flexible Power Cable | Halogen-Free EPR Insulated, High-Temp Sheath & Copper Braid (0.6/1kV)

Product Overview

The CEPJR80/SC is a high-performance, halogen-free, low-smoke, flame-retardant marine flexible power cable designed for applications requiring superior electrical stability, enhanced thermal resistance, and electromagnetic shielding. It combines Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation for excellent dielectric properties, a cross-linked polyolefin (SHF2) inner sheath for high-temperature endurance, and tinned copper wire braid armor. This cable provides a reliable, flexible, and safe solution for critical circuits in demanding environments where both electrical performance and ambient temperature resistance are key.

Key Performance Characteristics

  • Superior EPR Insulation: Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation offers outstanding dielectric strength, thermal stability, and long-term resistance to heat, moisture, and electrical stress, ensuring reliable power transmission.

  • High-Temperature Resistant Inner Sheath: The cross-linked polyolefin (SHF2) inner sheath provides enhanced thermal endurance and deformation resistance in elevated ambient temperature environments compared to standard thermoplastic sheaths.

  • Halogen-Free & Enhanced Safety: Constructed with halogen-free, low-smoke materials (IEC 60754 & IEC 61034) and is flame retardant (IEC 60332). This minimizes corrosive gas emission and smoke density in fire scenarios, enhancing personnel safety.

  • Effective EMI Shielding & Flexibility: The tinned copper wire braid armor provides reliable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding for sensitive circuits. Combined with flexible Class 5/6 conductors, the cable remains easy to install in complex routing paths.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and manufactured in accordance with key international marine and safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and tests)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy tests)

Typical Applications

This cable is ideal for flexible installations requiring enhanced temperature resistance, safety, and EMI protection:

  • Marine & Offshore: Power, lighting, and control system wiring within switchboards, control panels, and for instrumentation located in higher ambient temperature areas on ships and offshore platforms.

  • Industrial: Flexible connections in industrial control cabinets, processing equipment, and facilities where EMI shielding, halogen-free safety, and performance in warmer environments are required.
