CJ86/NC Fire Resistant Marine Power Cable – Mica/XLPE Insulated, SHF1 Sheathed, Copper Braid Armored (No Inner Sheath, 0.6/1kV IEC 60331)

Product Overview

The CJ86/NC is a compact and fire resistant marine power cable designed with an efficient, streamlined construction that omits a separate inner sheath. It features a core of Mica Glass Tape + XLPE composite insulation to ensure circuit integrity during fire emergencies (IEC 60331). The insulated cores are directly protected by a flexible tinned copper wire braid armor and over-sheathed with Halogen-Free, Low-Smoke Thermoplastic Polyolefin (SHF1). This design provides a certified fire-safe, environmentally friendly, and mechanically robust solution in a space-saving package, ideal for critical circuits in demanding marine and industrial settings.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): Guarantees that essential safety circuits (e.g., emergency lighting, fire alarms, pump controls) maintain operation for a specified period under fire and impact conditions, which is vital for life safety systems.

  • Compact & Space-Saving Design: The absence of a separate inner sheath results in a more streamlined, lightweight, and cost-effective cable structure, facilitating easier installation in space-constrained environments like cable trays and conduits.

  • Flexible & Corrosion-Resistant Armor: The braided armor of tinned copper wires provides excellent flexibility for routing, good tensile strength, and inherent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for marine atmospheres.

  • Enhanced Fire Safety (LSZH): As an NC-grade cable, it is Halogen Free and Low Smoke (LSZH), significantly reducing the emission of corrosive/toxic gases and smoke density in case of fire to enhance personnel safety and equipment protection.

  • Durable & Environmentally Resistant Sheath: The Thermoplastic Polyolefin (SHF1) outer sheath offers good resistance to abrasion, moisture, oils, and chemicals, ensuring long-term durability in harsh conditions.
