Product Overview
The CHJPF96/SC is a heavy-duty, steel wire armoured marine communication cable designed for demanding fixed installations requiring maximum mechanical protection alongside superior fire safety. It combines Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation with a robust Halogen-Free, Low Smoke Flame Retardant (LSHF) double-sheath construction. The key feature is its galvanized steel wire braid armor, offering exceptional resistance to crushing, impact, and rodent damage, making it ideal for exposed or hazardous routes on ships, offshore platforms, and in rugged industrial plants. It fully complies with the IEC 60092 series of standards.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Superior Mechanical Protection: The galvanized steel wire braid armor (Code 9) provides excellent tensile strength and crush resistance, protecting the cable in exposed, buried, or high-risk installation environments.
-
Enhanced Fire Safety: Features Halogen-Free (IEC 60754) and Low Smoke (IEC 61034) properties to minimize toxic emissions and smoke density. Certified for high Flame Retardancy (IEC 60332-1 & -3-22).
-
Robust & Durable Construction: XLPE insulation ensures high dielectric strength and thermal stability (90°C). The dual-layer Thermoplastic Polyolefin (SHF1) sheath provides environmental sealing and maintains the LSHF properties throughout the cable structure.
-
For Demanding Environments: Specifically engineered for areas subject to mechanical stress, such as decks, engine rooms, industrial floors, and direct burial applications where extra protection is crucial.

Applications
This cable is ideally suited for:
-
Fixed installations in high mechanical stress areas on ships and offshore oil & gas platforms (e.g., across decks, through engine rooms, in cargo holds).
-
Rugged industrial communication and control networks in power plants, mining operations, chemical plants, and metallurgy facilities, including direct burial or exposed tray runs.
-
Applications where rodent resistance or extra physical protection is a primary concern.
