CHJVP80/NA Marine Communication Cable – XLPE/Mica Fire Resistant, Screened, Flexible Copper Armor, No Outer Sheath

Product Overview

The CHJVP80/NA is a specialized Fire Resistant marine communication cable designed for maximum installation flexibility in critical fire-rated systems. It combines a fire-survivable mica glass tape + XLPE insulation core, a PVC inner sheath, an overall electromagnetic screen, and a highly flexible tinned copper wire braid armor. Supplied without an outer sheath (Code 0), this NA-grade cable provides a customizable, shielded, and protected core for integration into custom conduits, enclosures, or systems requiring a specific final over-jacket, ensuring compliance with the critical IEC 60331 fire resistance standard for marine, offshore, and industrial applications.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Assured Fire Survival (IEC 60331): The mica glass tape + XLPE insulation (Code J) is engineered to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating under fire conditions, ensuring that emergency communications, alarms, and control signals remain active.

  • Flexible Armor with Superior EMI Shielding: The tinned copper wire braid armor (Code 8) provides excellent mechanical protection with outstanding flexibility for complex routing. Combined with the overall screen (Code P), it offers robust protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) for signal clarity.

  • Customizable Final Installation: The absence of an outer sheath (Code 0) offers ultimate adaptability for system integrators to apply a site-specific final over-sheath, conduit, or additional fireproofing layer, perfectly tailoring the cable to the final installation environment and safety protocols.

  • Protected Core Construction: The PVC inner sheath (Code V) provides initial environmental and mechanical protection to the insulated core before the application of the armor and the final, user-defined jacket.
