CHJVP92/NA Marine Communication Cable – XLPE/Mica Fire Resistant, Screened, Steel Armored, Double PVC Sheathed

Product Overview

The CHJVP92/NA is a heavy-duty Fire Resistant, Screened marine communication cable engineered for mission-critical systems where circuit integrity during a fire, electromagnetic compatibility, and maximum mechanical protection are all essential. It features a fire-survivable mica glass tape + XLPE insulation core, a PVC inner sheath, an overall electromagnetic screen, robust galvanized steel wire armor, and a final PVC outer sheath. This comprehensive construction is designed to ensure the continuous operation of vital telecommunication and data systems under extreme conditions on ships, offshore platforms, and in heavy industry, complying with IEC 60092 and IEC 60331 standards.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Guaranteed Fire Survival (IEC 60331): The mica glass tape + XLPE insulation (Code J) is engineered to maintain circuit operation during a fire, ensuring emergency communications, alarms, and control signals remain functional.

  • Complete EMI/RFI Shielding: The integrated overall screen (Code P) provides reliable protection against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, safeguarding sensitive data and signal integrity.

  • Maximum Mechanical & Environmental Protection: The galvanized steel wire braid armor (Code 9) offers superior resistance to impact and crushing. The dual-layer PVC sheath system (Inner V & Outer 2) provides excellent overall protection against abrasion, moisture, oils, and environmental factors.

  • Flame Retardant: Complies with Flame Retardant standards (IEC 60332-1 & -3-22) to inhibit the spread of fire along the cable.
