CEFR92/NA Marine Flexible Power Cable | Fire-Resistant, Full Protection with Steel Armor (0.6/1kV)

Product Overview

The CEFR92/NA is a premium-grade, fire-resistant marine flexible power cable engineered for the most critical safety circuits where certified circuit integrity during a fire, maximum mechanical protection, and full environmental sealing are all essential. It combines Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation, a resilient Polychloroprene (PCP) inner sheath, galvanized steel wire armor, and a protective PVC outer sheath. This complete construction provides an uncompromising solution for vital emergency systems in the harshest and most exposed marine and industrial environments.

Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): The cable is engineered to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating for a specified duration under direct flame exposure, a non-negotiable requirement for all life-safety and emergency power circuits.

  • Maximum Mechanical & Environmental Protection: The galvanized steel wire braid armor offers supreme defense against crushing, impact, and tensile stresses. The full PVC outer sheath encapsulates the armor, providing an additional, robust barrier against abrasion, moisture, oils, chemicals, and corrosion.

  • Durable PCP Inner Sheath: The Polychloroprene (PCP, Neoprene) inner sheath provides strong resistance to oils, ozone, and weathering, offering an initial layer of environmental protection for the cable core.

  • Flame Retardant: Complies with IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60332-3-22, helping to inhibit the spread of flame along the cable run.

  • High Flexibility: Utilizes flexible Class 5/6 conductors, ensuring the cable remains manageable for installation in complex cable management systems despite its heavy-duty construction.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and tested in accordance with key international marine and fire safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and armor)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy tests)

Typical Applications

This cable is specified for the most critical, physically exposed, and safety-sensitive installations:

  • Marine & Offshore: Vital power feeds to emergency generators and fire pumps, critical alarm and control circuits, and essential systems on exposed decks or in engine rooms on ships, oil rigs, and offshore platforms.

  • Heavy Industry & Critical Infrastructure: Safety-critical wiring in power plants, mining operations, chemical processing facilities, and tunnels where regulations demand both certified fire-resistant cabling and the highest level of mechanical and environmental protection.
