Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance: Complies with IEC 60331, ensuring the cable can continue to operate for a specified period under direct flame exposure, which is vital for emergency lighting, alarm, and power circuits.

  • Enhanced Fire Safety Suite: Offers a comprehensive safety package including flame retardancy (IEC 60332-1, -3-22), halogen-free materials (IEC 60754), and low smoke emission (IEC 61034), maximizing safety for personnel and equipment in fire scenarios.

  • High Flexibility & Shielding: The tinned copper wire braid armor provides effective electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding and adds flexibility, making the cable suitable for routing in control panels and tight spaces.

  • Reliable Insulation System: The mica glass tape overlay on XLPE insulation is key to its fire-resistant properties, maintaining insulation integrity at high temperatures.

Standards & Compliance

This cable meets the highest marine fire safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and armor)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy)

  • IEC 60754 (Halogen-free)

  • IEC 61034 (Low smoke density)

Typical Applications

This cable is specified for critical circuits where maintaining operation during a fire is essential:

  • Marine & Offshore: Emergency lighting systems, alarm and detection circuits, control systems for fire pumps, and other essential safety and power circuits on ships, oil platforms, and offshore structures.

  • Industrial: Safety-critical power and control wiring in public buildings, tunnels, power plants, and industrial complexes where circuit integrity under fire conditions is required by regulation or best practice.
