CHJP86/NC Marine Communication Cable – XLPE/Mica Fire Resistant, Screened, Flexible Copper Armor, LSHF

Product Overview

The CHJP86/NC is a Fire Resistant, Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) marine communication cable engineered to ensure continuous operation of vital systems during emergencies. It combines a mica glass tape + XLPE insulation system (IEC 60331) for circuit integrity, an overall EMI screen, a flexible tinned copper wire braid armor, and a LSHF thermoplastic polyolefin (SHF1) sheath. This construction offers a unique blend of fire survival capability, enhanced safety (LSHF), excellent flexibility, and electromagnetic protection for critical telecommunication and data networks on ships, offshore platforms, and in industrial facilities, complying with IEC 60092 standards.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Superior Fire Resistance & Circuit Integrity: The mica glass tape + XLPE insulation (Code J) is designed to maintain circuit operation under fire conditions (IEC 60331), ensuring emergency communication and control signals remain active when needed most.

  • Enhanced Fire Safety (LSHF/NC Grade): Halogen-Free (IEC 60754) and Low Smoke (IEC 61034) properties minimize toxic fume emission and smoke density, crucial for safe evacuation. The cable is also Flame Retardant (IEC 60332).

  • Flexible Armor with Dual EMI Shielding: The tinned copper wire braid armor (Code 8) provides robust mechanical protection while offering high flexibility for easier installation in tight spaces. Combined with the overall screen (Code P), it delivers superior protection against electromagnetic interference for signal clarity.

  • Optimized for Installability & Safety: The flexible copper armor and LSHF sheath make this cable easier to handle and route than rigid steel-armored alternatives, without compromising on fire safety or protection, ideal for complex or confined installations.
