CEPJR90/NC Marine Flexible Power Cable | Halogen-Free Fire-Resistant, High-Temp Sheath & Steel Armor (0.6/1kV)

Product Overview

The CEPJR90/NC is a premium halogen-free, low-smoke, fire-resistant marine flexible power cable engineered for the most critical and physically demanding safety circuits, particularly in elevated ambient temperature environments. It combines superior Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation, a high-temperature cross-linked polyolefin (SHF2) inner sheath, and galvanized steel wire braid armor. This robust design provides certified circuit integrity during a fire, enhanced thermal sheath performance, and maximum mechanical protection for essential emergency and power systems.

Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): The cable is engineered to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating for a specified duration under direct flame, a critical requirement for all life-safety and emergency circuits.

  • Halogen-Free & Low Smoke Safety: Complies with IEC 60754 (halogen-free) and IEC 61034 (low smoke density), minimizing corrosive gas emission and smoke obscuration during a fire to enhance personnel safety in confined spaces.

  • High-Temperature Resistant Inner Sheath: The cross-linked polyolefin (SHF2) inner sheath offers improved thermal endurance and deformation resistance in elevated ambient temperature environments compared to standard thermoplastic sheaths.

  • Maximum Mechanical Protection: The galvanized steel wire braid armor provides supreme resistance to crushing, impact, abrasion, and rodent damage, safeguarding the cable core in exposed or high-risk locations.

  • High Flexibility: Despite its heavy-duty armor, the use of flexible Class 5/6 conductors ensures sufficient flexibility for installation in essential cable routes and trays.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and tested in accordance with the highest international marine and fire safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and armor requirements)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy)

  • IEC 60754 (Halogen-free)

  • IEC 61034 (Low smoke density)

Typical Applications

This armored fire-resistant cable is specified for critical circuits in high-ambient-temperature areas where robust mechanical protection is also required:

  • Marine & Offshore: Essential power feeds and control circuits for emergency generators, fire pumps, and critical systems located in engine rooms, machinery spaces, or other warm and high-risk areas on ships and offshore platforms.

  • Heavy Industry: Robust power and control wiring in industrial plants such as metallurgy or power generation, where cables are exposed to both physical stress and higher ambient temperatures.
