CEPJR85/NC Marine Flexible Power Cable | Halogen-Free Fire-Resistant, Full High-Temp Sheath & Shield (0.6/1kV)

Product Overview

The CEPJR85/NC is a premium halogen-free, low-smoke, fire-resistant marine flexible power cable designed for the most critical safety circuits in high-ambient-temperature environments. It combines superior Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) insulation with a fully cross-linked polyolefin (SHF2) dual-sheath system and tinned copper wire braid armor. This construction delivers certified circuit integrity during a fire, enhanced thermal endurance for the sheath, effective EMI shielding, and robust protection for vital systems in demanding marine and industrial installations.

Key Performance Characteristics

  • Certified Fire Resistance (IEC 60331): The cable is engineered to maintain circuit integrity and continue operating for a specified duration under direct flame, which is essential for life-safety and emergency power circuits.

  • Complete Halogen-Free Safety Package: Integrates fire resistance (IEC 60331) with halogen-free materials (IEC 60754) and low smoke emission (IEC 61034), minimizing corrosive gas and dense smoke production during a fire to maximize personnel safety.

  • Full High-Temperature Sheath System: Both inner and outer sheaths are made from cross-linked polyolefin (SHF2), offering superior thermal stability, deformation resistance, and longevity in elevated ambient temperature environments.

  • Effective EMI Shielding & Durability: The tinned copper wire braid armor provides reliable electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. The tough, cross-linked outer sheath adds a layer of mechanical and environmental protection for the armor.

  • High Flexibility: Designed with flexible Class 5/6 conductors, the cable remains easy to install in complex routing paths despite its fully protected construction.

Standards & Compliance

This cable is designed and tested in accordance with the highest international marine and fire safety standards:

  • IEC 60092-350, 353 (General construction and tests)

  • IEC 60228 (Conductors)

  • IEC 60092-360 (Insulation and sheath materials)

  • IEC 60331 (Fire Resistance)

  • IEC 60332-1 & IEC 60332-3-22 (Flame retardancy)

  • IEC 60754 (Halogen-free)

  • IEC 61034 (Low smoke density)

Typical Applications

This cable is specified for critical safety circuits where fire survival must be coupled with performance in higher temperature areas and EMI protection:

  • Marine & Offshore: Essential feeds and control circuits for emergency generators, fire pumps, and alarm systems located in engine rooms, machinery spaces, or other areas with elevated ambient temperatures on ships and offshore platforms.

  • Critical Infrastructure & Industrial: Safety-critical wiring in power plants, industrial process control systems, and facilities where both certified fire-resistant cabling and enhanced temperature resistance for the sheath are required.
