Product Overview
The CHJVP80/SA is a flexible screened and armored marine communication cable designed for installations requiring electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection, mechanical durability, and installation adaptability. It features reliable XLPE insulation, a PVC inner sheath, an integrated screen, and a flexible tinned copper wire braid armor. Supplied without an outer sheath (Code 0), this configuration is ideal for pulling into conduits, ducting, or for applications where a final, site-specific protective jacket will be applied. It complies with Flame Retardant standards (IEC 60332) for safety in bundled installations.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Superior EMI Shielding & Installation Flexibility: The tinned copper wire braid armor (Code 8) provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference for signal clarity, while its flexibility simplifies installation in tight spaces. The lack of an outer sheath allows for easy conduit pulling or customization with an external jacket.
-
Certified Flame Retardant Safety: Meets IEC 60332-1 and IEC 60332-3-22 standards, ensuring the cable inhibits flame propagation in both single and bunched installations, enhancing overall circuit safety.
-
Durable Core Construction: XLPE insulation offers high thermal resistance (90°C) and excellent electrical properties. The PVC inner sheath provides a solid base layer of environmental and mechanical protection.
-
Cost-Effective for Custom Installations: The un-sheathed armored core reduces initial material costs and provides installers the flexibility to apply jacket materials suited to the final environment (e.g., chemical resistance, UV protection).
